When do we meet for Team Bonding? (Decide by September 23rd)
Team Bonding!
Friday is team bonding! We will be meeting from 4-7pm at Central Park for ultimate frisbee, dinner arrangements, and a potential scavenger hunt.
Just a reminder for you guys to plan out team bonding and stuff. We have shop training this Saturday, so my guess is that you probably want it next week or something. Also, try to do this asap because getting everyone familiar with each other will smooth out the practice build.

haha i feel like we've mentioned it quite a few time but we're always like oh more important things to discuss

Re: Team Bonding!
I honestly don't care when, but I think Friday/weekend is the best option (considering FRC is meeting this minimum friday, and there aren't any for awhile, I think. Need to check on this) Yeah, I checked the next 4 weeks, and we don't haz one.

Re: Team Bonding!
We have a minimum day on Wednesday, October 12 and Friday October 28 lol bit late then....
we could just do next Saturday?
or instead of going to WRRF we could do one on Saturday, October 1st?

Re: Team Bonding!
HAHAHA wow.. they picked a bad day
so Friday/Saturday September 23/24?
what do we wanna do? If we want something relatively inexpensive, we can just do usual team bonding (i.e. go downtown after school on Friday and then have a potluck/eat dinner together + Central Park)
If not, then this will require real planning

Re: Team Bonding!
I assumed that is what we're doing. However, keep in mind how many people we have...I'm not sure if we had this many people in the last few years, but it's gonna be a bit more difficult.
I don't want something complicated like rock-climbing please >_<

haha we had this many people on the roster
not so much that actually showed up
oh but if we're gonna go downtown and then eat dinner together, we should probably do that on a Friday so that we can all just walk--> where for dinner? not hotpot soo expensive!

Re: Team Bonding!
I can't do any Fridays in September (SVC) so next Sat (9/24) is my vote. And we don't HAVE to get dinner, it could just be a Quickly/Tpumps run plus Central Park?

Re: Team Bonding!
I think that's what we decide on (next saturady, 9/24), since people seem to be busy on Friday. Run it by the rest of management, would you kindly?

TPumps...?
Uhh, Central Park is the standard, but I think anything would work. GET THE REST OF MANAGEMENT ON HARE.

Re: Team Bonding!
i think that Central Park is easiest, granted not too exciting but we have bigger things to worry about
and its free! (unless we decide to go out for dinner) AND it would set a good precedent with newbie parents as robotics doesnt spend TOO much of your money... yet lol

Okay, fine. Go. Go tell the newbies to not make plans that day and let's just get this over with -_-

Re: Team Bonding!
LOL I love how Zhili brings this up, but he's like "let's just get this over with" -_______-
I'm actually kind of against weekend team bonding. Team bonding in general lowers our credibility in parents' eyes (THEY DONT UNDERSTAND D:), so I don't think we should be in a rush to have as many events as possible. Plus, it's more special if it only happens occasionally.
Maybe it's just my parents, but frivolous robotics events are just hard to explain in a favorable light.
Also the 24th is ~ 1 week's notice. Also also considering how many people RSVP'd no for shop training due to other Saturday commitments, I feel like a good chunk of the team wouldn't be able to make it anyhow, so it wouldn't be terribly effective.
I don't think that playing hide and go seek for a few hours is going to significantly improve relations / practice build team dynamics. Practice build is a good chance for members to get on speaking terms with another; team bonding is a way to cement those burgeoning relationships--once they've spent some time together working on practice build.
Team bonding at this point would just be vet-vet clique-y-ness, I feel.
Also sorry for jumping in rather late, didn't see this thread. But anyhow, there's my 2 cents.

Re: Team Bonding!
Get the whole team trick or treating with each other. Long-term, problem solved, and people should be free that day. Also, it is a school day, so that's a plus.
Wait, that wasn't serious. Don't make people spend Halloween together. That's horrible. So, October 1st is SATs, so, make it Oct 8 or 15. And event should be something awesome, but I don't have much in terms of social interactions that is fun.

Lets just all separate and get our own food and meet back at the flagpole to do it picnic style with our usual mooching specialties?
